His articles regularly appear in magazines and newspapers in United States, Holland and Colombia, where he was awarded the 2005 Premio Nacional de Periodismo Simón Bolívar.

Since then he has taught creative writing to both children and adults and has given numerous conferences to teachers on the educational value of stories. He has published stories on emotional education, plays to be acted out in the classroom and textbooks for children between the ages of 3 and 5.
