Oliverio Coelho has published the novels Tierra de vigilia (Land of Vigilance, 2000), Los invertebrables (The Invertebratables, 2003), Borneo (2004), Promesas naturales (Natural Promises, 2006), Ida (2008) and the short story collection Parte doméstico (The Domestic Side, Emecé, 2009). He has held writers' residencies in Mexico and South Korea. The result of the latter was Ji-do (2009), an anthology of contemporary Korean fiction. He is a regular contributor to the arts supplements of the newspapers La Nacón, El País, Clarín and Perfil.
Born in Barcelona in 1959, he has worked intensively as a clarinetist, focusing on the classical repertoire as well as that of the twentieth century.
