Carlos Murciano was born in Arcos de la Frontera in 1931. A renowned poet and prose writer, he has also excelled as a musicologist, and a critic of literature and art. He has published more than twenty children's books, the first of which was 'Las manos en el agua', runner up in the National Prize for Children's Literature in 1980. Amongst his numerous awards are the prestigious National Poetry Prize of 1970, for 'Este claro silencio', and the National Prize for Children's and Young People's Literature in 1982, for 'El mar sigue esperando'.
Carlos Melián received the Daniels Award for excellence for his contribution to knowledge about endocrine disorders in small animals in 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2006. He has been a member of the Veterinary Information network (VIN) consultant team since 2004. He has also written a great many texts for English-language publishers.
Carlos Reviejo was born in El Tiemblo (Ávila). He undertook technical studies, but in order to follow his vocation, he later became a teacher, which has allowed him to visit places and meet people.
Following his first steps in the field of adult poetry, the teaching profession lead him to the world of childhood, and this is where he has preferred to concentrate most of his literary production, which includes various genres, from poetry and narrative to folklore. Some of his books have been translated into different languages.
Carlos Roca (Cartagena, 1965), is a journalist and director of communication group Antena 3. He has studied the history of southern Africa for more than twenty years, and is one of the leading experts on this subject in the Spanish speaking world. He has published several books which have become bestsellers due to their historical accuracy and simplicity of style: Zulú, La Batalla de Isandlwana, Sangre de Valientes, Siete Combates Heroicos, Isandlwana, Armarga Victoria Zulú, Rorkes Drift.
Carlos Sanmiguel (Barcelona, 1973) has always been fascinated by history, studying in depth mainly the history and mysteries of ancient cultures, the Holy Scriptures and the secrets of the different religions and their relation to one another. A dedicated reader ever since he was young, he has self-published the novels La oscura sombre de lo sagrado and Consolamentum. In these novels his passion for religion, history and ancient cultures and the mysteries they hide already gain weight.
He works and lives near Barcelona, is married and has a daughter.
