He has been translated into German, French, English, Dutch, Italian, Greek and Polish, and some of his stories have been adapted for the cinema.

Luis Montero was born in Madrid in 1965. After living for a time in New York, Frankfurt and Marrekech, he studied advertising and philosophy. He has published articles on the future of technology in La Experiencia del Usario. '¡Feliz Año Nuevo!' is his second foray into the world of fiction after the publication of his novel 'Artrópodos'.
