Chester is a very special bear. He is from outer-space. Or perhaps not. Sometimes other people can surprise us with their strange habits. But this doesn't mean we can't be friends - or even best friends. The narrator is a little boy who tries to explain his best friend's odd habits as best he can: Chester is from outer-space. As we read on, looking through all the illustrations we come to realise that Chester doesn't behave in the same way as Earth bears, but perhaps this isn't because he's from outer-space as the little boy thinks but rather that Chester isn't quite what we thought he was at the beginning. The end of the book hides a great secret. With an entertaining storyline and fantastic illustrations we come to reflect about the nature of friendship and how difference doesn't have to get in its way.
