The study of the brain has produced spectacular results in recent years but this knowledge has been applied more in medicine than at school, in the education of our children. This is not sensible. Our thoughts, feelings and personality depend on our brains and it is important for parents and teachers to understand how it works as the brain is a source of opportunities for our children and pupils.
We do not all need to become neurologists but we can have a general idea of how we work, of the biological reasons for our capabilities and problems. We must demand that the neuroscientists research this area and make use of their findings.
