However much people tell him to keep calm and his wife tries to teach him the habits of a sane and boring life, Luis cannot move for nasty surprises. His first wife, Carmen, has married his cousin, an opportunist who has also walked off with the job Luis wanted in his wind-energy firm. Between calls from his mother telling him about her blood pressure, Luis tries to solve the battles of his small son at school, deal with his older children’s designer drug troubles and realise that he still loves Carmen. With growing complications and extreme experiences, the already fragile balance of his original situation turns into a permanent state of uncontrolled mayhem, full of hilarious twists and turns. Berges offers us a side-splitting situation comedy, in which the comical mingles with the profound.
