Everyone thinks it but no-one says it: motherhood is nothing like the serene paradise it's always sold as. Let's not fool ourselves: motherhood, though it brings happiness, is marked by uncomfortable pregnancies, postnatal difficulties, an ongoing sense of chaos, and a lack of sleep that can be caused either by cramps or by the baby's never-ending crying. And you'll probably be rushing everywhere as well—whether it's to the supermarket or to school or the doctor's, or even, who knows, to work...
