'If we ever meet again, call me Gwen' is the story of the lurid and vile biography of its unclassifiable protagonist: Chowder Marris, a scriptwriter with such bad luck that he can't even sell one of his scripts. Now he will travel from Los Angeles to New York in his sterile endeavour, going to jail for a crime he didn't commit during his busy travels, all while being haunted by a nightmare: a clumsy accident where he caused the death of a little girl. This is a story with all the elements of a noir novel, which the astute hand of Germán Sánchez Espeso (Nadal Prize in 1978) has composed in a way that is as revolutionary as it is original - like some kind of mad puzzle to be put together which, due to its atmosphere and the plot, evokes the finest cinema of David Lynch.
