But that bonanza also had a dark side that we will discover thanks to Lucas Castro - a young man whose evolution from childhood dreams of being a cyclist to his arrival at the sport's elite we will follow alongside him. A novel that reads like a journalistic chronicle of a whole generation of cyclists. The book describes the history of doping in a clear way: the motivations, the inducers and the practices, all within the context of a country and an economy that seemed to be in eternal growth.
