Escartín en Lima

The latest title in the series featuring detective Fermín Escartín: criminal investigations carried out by a former university lecturer turned detective. Lalana brings back his successful character Fermín Escartín, the protagonist of La tuneladora, El caso Galindo and El último muerto. This time, though, the action starts in Tarragona and moves to Lima (Peru). Escartín discovers that Elisa Lobo, a hired murderer now retired, has returned to action for a new job. Someone has convinced her - we don't know how - to kill PPK, the president of Peru, so Fermín heads there too, accompanied by Elisa's son, to try to prevent the assassination. Elisa and Fermín were a couple for several years, so if there is anyone capable of foiling the murderer it's Fermín, but ... will he succeed?
