Madrid in the first decade of the twenty-first century. Daniel Bagao is the millionaire proprietor of a successful magazine of Esotericism and the Occult which is sold all over the world. He is its editor too, but keeps a secret from his readers: he believe in absolutely nothing that he publishes, in fact he is a cynic who despises believers. One day he is visited in the office by Ismael Koblin, an occult investigator who claims to have discovered a mythical figure among the magazine's followers - the immortal Count de Saint-Germain, a character who has appeared in many sources for centuries and whom a small group of researchers has secretly been trailing. Although Bagao doesn't believe the story, he wants to exploit it commercially, so he provides Koblin with the means to continue his investigation, never imagining that this decision will put an end to his peace of mind, his fortune - and his scepticism. . .
