Sueños a medida

Barcelona 1926. The well known fashion house Santa Eulalia is about to launch its own first collection and marks the occasion with a splendid fashion show, one of the first to be organised in the country. The event is a success. Change is underway because the old department stores, founded in the mid-nineteenth century, are about to be launched into the world of haute couture. Inside them, the lives of various people (owners, designers, shop assistants . . .) merge and thrum and to the rhythm of the moment: these are promising times, as evidenced by the Universal Exhibition of 1929; but also difficult and sad times, witnessing the war and the post-war era. Many lives are caught up in this group enterprise which is determined to face down the difficulties and move forward, in spite of everything.
