Throughout history, many athletes have been shining examples of tolerance, persistence, teamwork and respect for others. Some of them were world famous, but others remained anonymous. Little Big Acts in Sport collects some of their stories with the aim of showing how sport can be an important means to social transformation. Stories like that of Italian cyclists Gino Bartoli and Fausto Coppi, the American boxer Muhammed Ali, and the British runner Derek Redmond, make up this illustrated book. Little Big Acts is a collection of illustrated books to help children to understand values such as tolerance, justice and living together, using examples to encourage them to aim to be the stars of their own stories, just like these heroes.
