A ruthlessly black novel. Winter Blues tells the story of three people who walk the snow-covered streets of New York in their short-lived flight from the Madrid winter. They don't suspect that they are pawns in a mathematical game of chess between intelligence services. They seek out alcohol and the night. And sex. Conventional tourist stuff. They are also seeking oblivion: the only desirable thing for a person who has lived too much. In the Winter Blues, an ordinary jazz hangout, strange destinies meet that night. Especially those of Yuki and Yanna: women from nowhere, seductive heralds of a new world. And heartless. A dark setback stalks the lives of the three travellers: old police infiltrations, new intelligence services. Until that darkness is shattered by an unthinkable murder.
