When Iván returns to Valencia to face his shadows, he remembers the days back in 1992 which changed his life. The tower blocks among areas of waste ground, friends from the neighbourhood marked by their frustration, fashion and language used as armour, songs recorded in cassettes where they hid, the spiral of violence that dragged them towards an ocean of uncertainty, the families who suffered their own shipwrecks, the delicate balance broken by sudden death. 'All Songs are about You' paints a picture of the world of the nineties and gets inside the wounds that open as the decade begins. A touching, energetic novel written with a soundtrack that includes groups such as The Clash, Nirvana, Iggy Pop, Kortatu, Daniel Viglietti and Public Enemy and which traps us in an affective spiderweb of the protagonists' generations.
