In 1967 an attractive anthropology student named Izumi Fukada contracts a strange disease on the island of Papua New Guinea while taking part in the Japanese exhibition that is looking for the lost Hamulai tribe. This trivial episode is the first link in an unforeseeable chain of events that begins in Japan, jumps to the United States and ends up shedding light, seventy five years later, on a dystopian nightmare on a planetary scale. An adventure, detective novel, thriller, social satire and science fiction - all at once - Yegorov's Empire surprises the reader with its technical audacity, the originality of its plot and its unstoppable rhythm. A "rock opera" fed on images like doctor Yasutaka Mashimura (alias Perseverance), missionary Ernest Cuballó, poet Geoff LeShan, actress Lillian Sinclair and police officer Walter.
