El ángulo ciego

In her first novel on the subject of Basque terrorism, Etxenike deals with the traumatic experience of political violence with great literary effect. Language and narrative experimentation are the vehicles which the author uses to express the complex emotions of the victims of a terrorist attack. The novel is divided into two parts, 'The Novel' and 'The Original Version', in which the author changes narrators to express the different 'angles' and perspectives of the event and the emotional fracturing terrorism produces in its victims.
