The world is ending. The rust-coloured sky drips acid rain over covered cities incapable of communicating with each other. Peter lives in Madrid, one of the few big cities that have survived a series of natural disasters and wars. His girlfriend is kidnapped and he confronts the kidnappers, a criminal organisation and his father-in-law's anger, the mayor of Madrid. In his search he heads for Zaragoza and Huesca, territories taken over by nature, with just the help of his friend Pol, with whom he communicates only through dreams. Pol lives in the past, and has recently escaped a cataclysm similar to that which looms over his friend Peter. He is the only one with access to the outside of the cave where his tribe live, under the yoke of power of the ancient ones, who resist going out into the open and discovering a wonderful blue sky. 'The Colour of the Sky' has a frenetic, limber rhythm.
