Nits de guardia

Magda, a young woman aged 21, leaves her home town and decides to go and do her final year of medical school in Barcelona. Behind her she is leaving everything: a boyfriend, a family and her university degree. Her best friend Bel has committed suicide and Magda would rather start her training at a new hospital far away from there to stop herself from asking why she did nothing to prevent it. At the hospital she meets Roi, a surgical resident, the right-hand man of Doctor Ribes, an eminent neurosurgeon whom Magda would one day like to emulate. Roi decided a long time ago that he wasn't going to have feelings for anyone and would let no one into his life. But in the new hospital Magda also meets Jan, a fellow junior doctor who soon becomes a good friend. Magda must decide between risking it all with Roi or letting herself succumb to the peace she feels with Jan, all the while trying to become a great doctor.
