A piece of paper blown away by a sandstorm ends up in the hands of Moussa. As soon as he finds it, the little boy thinks of his father, who lives abroad, and decides to send him a picture. Moussa decides it should be a picture of his village so that 'baaba' won't get so homesick. But as he can't fit the whole of Thille Boubacar on one piece of paper, Moussa will have to choose extremely carefully what he's going to draw. Luckily, he can rely on the help of his friend Mariama. Making use of collage, Rocío Araya manages to perfectly incorporate the artwork created by children from Thille Boubacar (Senegal) into her own illustrations. Some of the original drawings are included at the end of the book and readers are invited to find them in the main story. There book also includes a brief glossary of words in Fula, the language of the protagonist of this simple, captivating story about emigration and losing touch.
