The poetry of Ramón María del Valle-Inclán is collected in a trilogy entitled Claves liricas (Lyrical Keys). Within this collection is El pasajero (The Passenger), thirty-three modernist scores, existential in nature and with great sensory beauty, dealing with solitude, time, passion and pain. The poetic voice - evocative of Rubén Darío - belongs to a wayfarer who, through the melting pot of ideographic and aesthetic symbols, opens paths to reading in all its senses, through a landscape of roses, the flower that symbolises reason and emotion, the mystical and the liturgical, life and death.
