A magical work, based on real events and with a very special atmosphere and characters; a splendid human landscape in which emotions blossom intensely. In Franco’s Spain, Campos is a quiet village, with charming inhabitants, where the bar is the social centre and personal relationships and shared memories make solidarity a sign of identity. But this calm disappears when a project to construct a dam arrives from the distant capital, a project which could disrupt the roots of the whole village. Campos raises its voice against this injustice , but it is Eliseo Soler, the village poet, who particularly asks those whose job it is to respond the most essential questions.
