Teresa Viejo studied journalism at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, where she also studied sociology. Throughout her career she has directed all kinds of programmes on TVE, Antena 3 ("7 días, 7 noches"), Canal 9 and Televisión Autonómica de Castilla-La Mancha ("Tal como somos"). A regular voice on the radio, she was the first woman in charge of directing a morning radio show (Radio España). Taking over the editorship of Interviú meant a change in her professional life and was a catalyst in the Spanish media world when she became the first woman to head up a general interest magazine. She regularly writes for the newspapers (Interviú, diario ADN)., and in 2001 was named Unicef ambassador in Spain for her intense voluntary work. She is the author of three successful essays, and 'Que el tiempo nos encuentre' is her second novel.
