Tomás Luis de Victoria and the Musical Culture of Philip III’s Spain
Alfonso de Vicente teaches History of Music at the Consrvatorio Profesional de Música de Madrid and researches topics related to the cultural aspects and institutions of Spanish Modern religious music. Most prominent among his latest works is a study of the musical activity of the Hieronymite monastery of San Bartolomé de Lupiana and a collection of the letters of Tomás Luis de Victoria.
