Based on the adventures of a large family of twelve children in postwar Catalunya, Quan Erem feliços is a real life tale of emotions, humour and tension in which the author, writing in the first person, evokes his childhood landscapes. A journey that is by turns intimate and panoramic, almost cinematographic: full of powerful images of Girona's historical centre, summer in La Fosca, Septembers working at the farm in Aiguaviva and on board at El Collell.
