The body without organs
José Luis Pardo is Professor of Philosophy at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He has worked on journalistic publications such as El Viejo Topo, Los Cuadernos del Norte, Revista de Occidente, Archipiélago, Claves de Razón Práctica, and the newspaper El País. He translates authors of contemporary philosophy into Spanish, such as F. Jameson, G. Debord, M. Serres, E. Levinas, G. Agamben or G. Deleuze; he is coauthor and coordinator of the volume Prefería no hacerlo. Ensayos sobre Bartleby (Pre-Textos, Valencia, 2000), and of Palabras Cruzadas. Una invitación a la filosofía (in collaboration with Fernando Savater) (Pre-Textos, Valencia, 2003). He has taught on courses and conferences in various universities and institutions, and, as well as numerous articles and monographs in specialist magazines, he has published many books of essays.
