Pilar Velasco studied IT at the Universidad Complutense. Since 2007 she has worked as an investigative journalist for Channel Ser. In 2005 she published her book 'Jóvenes, aunque sobradamente cabreados', a report on the political awakening of the Spanish youth during the years of absolute majority of the Partido Popular (PP) until the electoral change of 2004.
She currently writes for digital media. In the first years of her career she worked at Interviu, where she published political investigative reports and wrote about the activities of Spanish youth. She studied in the United States and in Romania on an Erasmus scholarship. She has lived in Serbia, a country she was invited to by several cultural collectives specialising in topics to do with nationalism and integration.
