Luz Gabás Ariño was born in 1968 in Monzón (Huesca). She passed the best moments of her childhood and adolescence between her paternal family's village (Cerler, in the Valley of Benasque) and that of her maternal family (Serrate, in the Valley of Lierp). After living for a year in San Luis Obispo (California), she studied in Zaragoza, where she graduated in English Language, and later obtained the post of professor. For years she has combined her university teaching with translation, writing articles, undertaking literary and linguistic research and participating in cultural, theatre and independent cinema projects.. Since 2007 she has lived in the beautiful village of Anciles, close to Benasque, where, amongst other projects, she dedicates her self to writing.
