Álex Monasterio Uría
Álex Monasterio was born in 1972. Between 1994 and 1997 he studied physiotherapy at Escola Universitària d'Infermeria, Fisioteràpia i Nutrició Blanquerna (Ramon Llull University).
While studying at university he worked as a scholar at the Unidad Asistencial y de Investigación Blanquerna, which specializes in neurology.
After graduation, and in collaboration with Vicente Ferrer Foundation, he participated in the setup of an educational project to develop physiotherapy in Anantapur (India).
He has developed his professional activity in several hospitals and healthcare centres, such as the Department of Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Rheumatology of Hospital San Pablo de Barcelona.
He is a teacher at Escola Universitària d’Infermeria, Fisioteràpia, Dietética y Nutrició Blanquerna (Ramon Llull University). He also teaches courses addressed at yoga students and instructors, as well as other disciplines based on movement.
