Ramón Carlos Suárez y Alonso
Ramón Carlos Suárez y Alonso (Vigo, 1962) is a computer specialist, employer and teleworker. He holds a degree in Management Computing and has completed two Masters Courses, one in Software Engineering and another one in Business Administration.
His extensive technical and business training qualifies him as an expert recognized by prestigious institutions (UNESCO, UNED, Universities of Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Catalan Institute of Technology, Euroforum El Escorial, CSIC, FUNDESCO, Dale &, Carnegie, Dr. Edward de Bono, Microsoft, IBM, Telefónica, Sony, etc.). His broad knowledge covers many areas: business administration, marketing and sales, creativity, effective communication, intellectual property, socio-cultural encouragement, educational technology, computing, telecommunications, multimedia, computer graphics, virtual reality, electronic commerce, etc.
He has worked as a manager for multinational companies like IBM and Telefónica, as a teacher and disseminator of information society, and as strategic advisor to international corporations, associations and institutions.
He has also advised Xunta de Galicia and the Government of Spain along several legislatures. Currently, he is an expert advisor to the European Commission in Brussels and to the UN. In addition, he has published the book Tecnologías de la información y la comunicación with Ideaspropias Editorial.
