Francisco Javier Solana de Madariaga (Madrid, 14th July 1942) is a Spanish politician, physicist and diplomat. He has been Minister of Culture, Government Spokesman, Minster of Education, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Secretary General of NATO, High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union and Commander in Chief of EUFOR.
