Guadaloupe Eichelbaum was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1968. She has lived in Spain since she was a child, in the province of Malaga. She teaches courses for Vetinary Assistants and on Environmental Awareness. But her passion, along with that for her family, is for writing.
She comes from a family with a long literary tradition, her grandfather the distinguished 20th century Argentinian playwright Samuel Eichelbaum.
As a child she began writing poems and short stories which she kept safely hidden in drawers. It was not until 2002 that one was published, "Mi lado de la verja" ("My Side of the Fence") in the newsletter of the NGO Málaga Acoge. Her story "Tormenta de verano" ("Summer Storm") was a finalist for a literary prize.
