future imperfect
Xulia Alonso Díaz (A Rúa, 1961) completed her secondary education in her native town and in 1979 began studying psychology in Santiago de Compostela. In Janurary 1981 she began working as an administrative assistant for Galicia's regional government, where she worked until 2008 when, for health reasons, she withdrew from the world of work. In those first few years of the 1980s, her discovery of the world of drugs and a three-year addiction to heroine (which she overcame in 1985) left an indelible mark that affected her future: HIV.
'Futuro imperfecto' is her first novel.
