VIOLETA MONREAL DÍAZ

Violeta Monreal was born in Oviedo, she has a degree in Fine Arts and has illustrated numerous books. The author has even collaborated with the United Nations illustrating for various of their projects. Some of her books have been published in the USA, Japan, Korea, France, Portugal, Italy and Greece as well as in several Latin American countries. Amongst her awards are: finalist in the CCEI competition for the best illustrations of 2001, Honour list in the CCEI competition for the best illustrations of 2002, 26th SALÓN DEL LIBRO 2002 Prize for her work in promoting children and young adult's books, Honour list in the CCEI competition for the best illustrations of 2003 and CCEI Prize for illustration in 2011.
