PILAR LOZANO CARBAYO

Pilar Lozano Carballo loves words. Writing them, saying them, finding out their meanings, reading them, playing with them, inventing stories... That's why she chose journalism as her job and literature as her hobby. She's worked for newspapers, magazines and TV. She is currently director at the magazine "Vía Libre", and whenever she can, she writes kids' books. She grew up in a family with ten siblings and was a happy child, so much so, that whenever possible she returns to her childhood to live and play with the characters she has invented. She won the Barco de Vapor Prize for Children's Literature with her book "Siete reporteros y un periódico" (Seven Reporters and One Newspaper), which has been translated into several languages.
