Asfixia

Planet Earth. Population: 1. We have no idea how it happened. On the first of September 2019, something occurred. We were all fine one moment and then people began to die of suffocation. Little by little, the world was engulfed in a deafening silence. I survived this mysterious catastrophe thanks to my dad. When I woke, I found myself surrounded by the horrific panorama of millions of bodies. They were all dead. Some time later I discovered that, actually, there were seven survivors and I joined forces with them. Some wanted to find out what had happened, the reason behind the extinction of the human race; they died pretty soon, in mysterious circumstances. Those of us who'd stayed behind fought for survival but despite our struggles, after a few months the others all died too. Now I am Earth's only inhabitant, I'm the only person left on the planet... or that's what i believed.
