Ignacio Martínez de Pisón

Ignacio Martínez de Pisón (Zaragoza, 1960) is an award-winning writer and screenwriter. His works, mostly translated into several languages, include La ternura del dragón (The Tenderness of the Dragon, Anagrama, 1985; Seix Barral - Booket, 2011), the successful Carreteras secundarias (Minor Roads, Anagrama, 1996; Seix Barral - Booket, 2011 - twice adapted for the screen), El tiempo de las mujeres (The time of women, Anagrama, 2003; Seix Barral - Booket, 2012), the essay Enterrar a los muertos (Burying the Dead, Seix Barral, 2005- Rodolfo Walsh and Dulce Chacón awards), El día de mañana (When Tomorrow Comes, Seix Barral, 2011 - finalist of the European Union Prize for European Books and Critics' Award), La buena reputación (Good Reputation, Seix Barral, April 2014 - National Literature Prize), Derecho Natural (Natural Law, Seix Barral, March 2017), and most recently, Fin de Temporada (End of season, Seix Barral, 2020).
