Beatriz Osés

Beatriz Osés (Madrid, 1972). She holds a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University in Madrid. She participates in seminars and activities to promote reading and creative writing. She was awarded the Joaquín Sama y Giner de los Ríos Prize for Innovation in Education, the Lazarillo Prize for Literary Creativity (2006) for her work "Cuentos como pulgas" [Stories Like Fleas], the Ciudad de Orihuela International Prize for Children's Poetry (2008) for "El secreto del oso hormiguero" [The Anteater's Secret] and the La Brújula Prize for Young Adult Fiction (2010) with "El cuentanubes" [The Cloudreader] which was also amongst the finalists of the National Prize for Children's and Young Adult's Literature (2011).
