The Zippoli Tribe
David Nel·lo (Barcelona, 1959) is a writer and flautist. He specialises in children and young adult literature however, Nel·lo has also written several titles for adults including "Melissa & Nicole", which received the 50th Prudenci Bertrana Prize, or more recently, "Les amistats traïdes" [Friendships Betrayed](2020) with which he won the 60th Sant Jordi Book Prize. On the long list of his books for children several stand out including, "L’Albert i els menjabrossa" [Albert and the Answer](Vaixell de Vapor Prize), "El restaurant de l’Adrià Potato" [Adrià's Potato Restaurant] and "Ludwig & Frank" (Josep M. Folch i Torres Prize). In 2014 he won the Edebé Prize with his highly amusing novel for children, "La nueva vida del señor Rutin" [Mr Rutin's New Life]. Amongst his young adult offerings are: "L’aposta" [The Bet](Columna Jove Prize), "Babushka", "Contrajoc" [Counterplay](Ciutat d’Olot Prize), "Guguengol" (Ramon Muntaner Prize), "Missió future" [Mission Future]and "La segona vida del Marc" [Marc's Second Life] (Gran Angular Prize).
