Arianna Squilloni

Arianna Squilloni was born in Milan, Italy, where she studied classical languages such as Latin, Greek and Sanskrit. Since 2002 she's been living in Mataró where she has learned other languages such as, for example, Spanish, Catalan and Chinese. She says that different languages offer alternative ways of seeing the world and people. The idea for "The Calligrapher's Journey" probably stems from her passion for languages, writing and travelling. Her other activities include editing illustrated books for children and young adults and she also gives courses on editing and writing and writes articles for journals specialising in literature for children and young adults.
