Javier Calvo

Javier Calvo (Barcelona, 1973) is a novelist and literary translator. He is considered one of the best literary translators from English, and his translations include works from authors such as David Foster Wallace, J. M. Coetzee, Don DeLillo, Joan Didion, Salman Rushdie, Zadie Smith, Peter Matthiessen and Denis Johnson. His own novels include Wonderful World (finalist for the Fundación José Manuel Lara Award 2008), Crown of Flowers (Silverio Cañada de la Semana Negra de Gijón Memorial Award 2011), The Hanging Garden (Biblioteca Breve Award 2012), and Silver Skin (2019).
