Rut's Roads
Lluís-Anton Baulenas (Barcelona, 1958) is a novelist, translator and dramatist. His novels and theatre productions have won him some of the major prizes for Catalan literature. Some of his novels have been translated into Spanish, including: "Nombres en la arena" [Names in the Sand], "Hilo de plata" [Silver Thread], "La Felicidad" [Happiness] and "Por un saco de huesos" [For a Sack of Bones]. Three of his books have been adapted for cinema with Ventura Pons as director: "Anita no pierde el tren" [Anita Takes a Chance], "A la deriva" [Adrift] and "Amor idiota" [Idiot Love]. He has translated authors such as Marguerite Yourcenar, George Orwell, Eugene O’Neill, Jean Cocteau and Albert Camus. Most recently he won the Jean Morer Prize (2019) for the French version of his latest novel, "Amics per sempre" [Friends Forever](not published in Spanish). His work has been translated into twelve languages.
