Agustín Comotto

Agustín Comotto was born on the underside of the globe, in Argentina, but for some unknown reason, he has spent half his life going up and down from one end of the planet to the other. He loves the north, the north of the Vikings and the aurora Borealis. He writes to draw and draws to write. He has drawn or written for books in the USA, France, Mexico and Spain. The sole author or illustrator of many books he won the A la Orilla del Viento Prize, sponsored by the Fondo de Cultura Económica (Mexico), with the title "Siete millones de escarabajos" [Seven Million Scarabs] a work which also got a mention in the White Raven list 2002 produced by the Munich Library (Germany) and a mention for best illustrated publication by ALIJA (IBBY, Argentina, 2006) with "El Comelibros" [The Bookworm].
