Fernando Rueda Rieu, who was born in Madrid and studied journalism at the Universidad Complutense, is Spain's foremost expert in espionage. He began his career as an investigative journalist for the newspaper Ya and the weekly paper Época, and has been sub-editor of the magazines Tiempo and Interviú. He has also worked on several television and radio programmes. Although he contributed to the biography 'Fuerza y honor' about the journalist Juan Antonio Cebriá, and has written the amusing book 'Quién necesita a las mujeres?', his great passion as always been espionage-related topics. He is the author of 'La casa', the first book ever published about the Spanish intelligence agency (a nationwide best-seller), 'Espías', 'KA: licencia para matar', 'Por qué nos da miedo el CESID', 'Operaciones secretas' and 'Servicios de inteligencia: ¿fuera de la ley?'.
