Director of the Climate Laboratory of the Universitat Jaume I, José Quera Sala has extensive teaching and research experience, embodied in twelve books and nearly 200 articles in national and international journals. He is project co-ordinator of the National Climate Plan, expert researcher of the UNESCO International Conference on Mediterranean Regions and has thirty years of recognised research to his credit. He has headed numerous public and private projects in the area of applied climatology and directed university courses on climate and water resources. The author has also recently collaborated on the Preliminary Assessment of the Impacts and Effects of Climate Change in Spain, to be published by the Spanish Ministry for the Environment.
