Carmen Suárez (Gijón, 1946) has worked as a food journalist on various publications, including Elle, La guia del niño, El Semanal and El País. She has also been editor of the magazines Cocinar Hoy, Cocina semanal and Imagínate. She currently alternates journalism with literary translation. She is the author of the recipe books Cocinar para muchos (Cooking for Crowds), Entre Pucheros (Among the Pots), Cocina típica mallorquina (Traditional Cookery of Mallorca), La cocina sexy (Sexy Cookery) and Cocina para embarazadas (Cooking for Pregnant Women).
