Canizales

Harold Jiménez Canizales, Canizales, is a Colombian artist. In Cali, his hometown and where he graduated in Fine Arts, he has had exhibitions of several galleries and museums. In 1990 the Spanish Agency for Ibero-american Cooperation awarded him a grant to study a master's in Animation at the Universitat de les Illes Balears, one of three granted to young Latin American artists. Since then he has lived in Palma de Mallorca, where he presently teaches at the Escola Superior de Disseny de Palma. His books have been translated into a number of languages and he has been awarded the Premio Apila Primera Impresión and the best picture book prize by the Fundación Cuatro Gatos for Guapa (Good Looking, 2017). He won the Boolino prize for a project entitled El sombrero de Bruno ( Bruno's Hat, November, 2016)
