Bruno's life changes when he finds a top hat with a note inside: "They are waiting for you in New York". He discovers that he has an unusual talent and understands why he has always felt out of place. The discovery prompts him to leave home and cross the ocean to live out an adventure very different from the one he had dreamed of, one in which he will find other characters - children and adults - as extraordinary as him. Children with No Name is a novel full of feisty characters who set out to find themselves, hand in hand with their friends. It talks about the need to belong somewhere and, at the same time, to leave it all behind; of what is hidden beneath the surface of the places we idealise; and, above all, the paradox of identity: we feel unique yet we are nobody without other people. That's why, when people ask us who we are, we answer with something we did not choose, but that was given to us: our name.
