The ability to listen to (and be in) the clouds, bob on the waves of the sea, make the most of every glimmer of light and colour each day offers or play with the moon is an ability that not everybody enjoys. But the protagonist of this book is 'Distinta'. Others complain about getting up early, they get cross in traffic jams, they get bored of their routine or go to sleep without experiencing new emotions. The explosion colour and dynamic liveliness of Sozapato's double-page illustrations surround the reading experience offered by Beto Valencia's brief text. The lyricism of the story is perfectly complemented by the poetic images: visual metaphors which awaken the imagination and capacity for fantasy. Because this is what 'Distinta' invites us to do in this piece that showcases a day in the life of little Luna: escape from grumpiness by approaching each day with optimism.
